About Me

imageHi I'm Karen! It's nice to meet you! I'm currently finishing up the 900 Hour Core Program at the National Holistic Institute. During my time at NHI, I was able to gain extensive knowledge in the following areas, Kinesiology, Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology. As well as getting the hands on experience in Western and Eastern Modalities (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Pregnancy,Myofascial Therapy, Shiatsu, and Thai). Just recently, I was given an amazing opportunity to do massage at the Olympic Trials in San Jose, CA for Womens Gymanstics.

My journey as a Massage Therapist and Health Educator started as a child, but actually didn't begin until I was in my twenties. I had opted out of pursuing Grad School, and was determined to find my place in the world. My philosophical approach is simple, I believe the power of touch can help someone out. I'm a life long learner, have plans of pursuing several certifcations in the near future, once I complete my training at the National Holistic Institute.
